The redheads from different parts of the country have focused this afternoon at Women's Bridge, in the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires, to celebrate their day celebrated around the world for thirteen years.
RedHead Day (Roodharigendag) has been celebrated since 2005 and it was because the painter Bart Rouwenhorst then ran an advertisement in a Dutch newspaper looking for red-headed women for a painting. He needed 15 calls but 150 No, decided to hold a meeting and so a festival was born which, 13 years later, brings together thousands of redheads from different parts of the world.
In 2013, also in Breda, the Netherlands, a Guinness record was obtained after gathering 1672 people and taking a photo with the most natural rouxes, said Omar Fornataro, founder of the Pelirrojos club.
