Repression in Cuba: dozens of ladies in white were arrested Sunday

At least 23 women in white and a human rights activist were arrested Sunday by the combined forces of state security and police.

The operation was aimed at preventing them from attending mbad and demanding the release of all political prisoners on the island.

Despite this repression, several members of the women's movement were able to reach churches in different parts of Cuban territory.

According to a former political prisoner, Angel Moya, a native of Havana, his wife, Berta Soler, leader of the movement, continues to be arrested and disappeared after his arrest Sunday after leaving his home in Lawton, where is located the National headquarters of Damascus Blanco.
