Over the days, the number of victims of the repression of the Chavez regime has increased during protests that took place last week in different parts of the country. According to data provided by the Venezuelan Observatory of Social Conflicts (OVCS), the figure – until Friday, January 25 – raises to 29 deaths.
The OVCS explained, however, that this index corresponds to persons whose identification has been confirmed.
The murders took place at Capital (9), Amazonas (2), Barinas (3), Bolívar (5), Portuguesa (3), Táchira (3), Monagas (2), Yaracuy (1) and Sucre (1).
Similarly, the NGO has published a list with the identification of each of the victims. One of them is minor.
The highest number of murders was recorded in the capital.
Demonstrations in the center of Caracas, seat of the Venezuelan authorities, intensified last Monday when dozens of members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) rebelled against dictator Nicolás Maduro and asked for support from the citizens of Cotiza district, before being handed over and captured.
On the same day, a dozen demonstrations were recorded demanding the end of the crisis and, in some cases, the cessation of "usurpation" that opponents badure Maduro of the Venezuelan presidency.
