The American millionaire called the diver Vern Unsworth "pedophile" on Twitter after he rejected his offer to help the rescue with a submarine. "You can get your submarine where it hurts," said the rescuer at CNN Saturday night
Unsworth told CNN that Musk's bid was just an act of public relations . "There is absolutely no chance that it will work," he said. The outer deck of the submarine was too wide to cross the curves and obstacles of the cave. "I would not have entered the cavern or 50 meters," the diver continues.
"Nice to help Thailand."
Musk attacked him on Twitter claiming that he had never seen "this British living in Thailand" in the cave. Then he referred to him as a "pedo", diminutive in English pedophile. When his words provoked a wave of aftershocks in the social network, he no longer spoke. Later the controversial tweets of his account disappeared
.
Unsworth, who is a speleologist, lives part of the year in Thailand and advised topographers and rescuers who participated in the operation. Unsworth said that he had not seen the tweets, but that he had been told about them and confirmed that "yes, he had planned" to sue Musk.
Elon Musk who also holds Canadian and South African citizenship, is known for his electric vehicle company Tesla and the space technology company SpaceX. On Twitter, it has more than 22 million followers. The billionaire is a visionary for some, and a megalomaniac for others.
