The Nikolái Gamaleya Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, which manufactures the Russian vaccine Sputnik V against the coronavirus that arrived in Argentina, has reaffirmed that no adverse effects have been detected in the elderly.

Anmat certification
After the visit to Russia of its technicians, the State Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat) issued a technical report that certifies the approval of the Sputnik V vaccine in the country, in which it highlights that the vaccine is more effective than expected and that its effectiveness does not vary by age group.
In the report, Anmat said he had received all of the enabling information about the vaccine, which “shows safety and efficacy in a higher than acceptable range.”

President Alberto Fernández will meet this Saturday with governors from all over the country to finish defining the vaccination campaign in each of the 24 jurisdictions after the arrival in Argentina of the first doses of Sputnik V.
The meeting, which is scheduled in virtual form, will be held in the afternoon and will be the starting point to begin the vaccination process at the national level, described as an “epic” by President Fernández and which will reach all corners from the country. .
