Russian plane crashed in Kamchatka | 28 people were traveling and there would be no survivors

Russian rescue teams found wreckage of the crashed plane this Tuesday in the Kamchatka Peninsula, in Eastern Russia, with 28 people on board, including two girls, and there would be no survivors.

“Rescuers have found the fragments of the AN-26 aircraft,” the Rosaviatsia aviation agency said, adding that due to the geography of the place, rescue efforts are difficult.

According to official data, the plane was traveling six crew members and 22 passengers. According to preliminary data, none survived the accident.

Rosaviatsia said the remains of the aircraft were found “4-5 kilometers from the take-off and landing runway.

The governor of the Kamchatka region, Vladimir Solodov, asked not to draw hasty conclusions on the causes of the tragedy and assured that the crew of the plane was “very experienced”.

Russian emergency services had previously reported that the plane had stopped communicating by radio as it was about to land at Palana airfield.

The aircraft, registration RA-26085, had been in service since 1982 and its flight license expired on August 30.
