The area called Palermo Green includes a set of land formerly occupied by the San Martin railway beaches, which total more than 113,000 square meters.

The site is parallel to the railway and Godoy Cruz street and crosses, among others, the streets Soler, El Salvador and Nicaragua. There is currently a set of synthetic turf football fields, surrounded by abandoned land, recently opened squares and new construction works under construction.

Upon approval of the sale of this property, it was determined that 35% of the surface could be used for the construction of new offices or housing complexes, the remaining 65% to be reserved for public use. As indicated by AABE, there are 22 parcels in the auction, of which 6 will be sold this year.

The funds raised, indicated by AABE, go to the public company Playas Ferroviarias de Buenos Aires, a company created at the end of 2014 under the government of Cristina Kirchner, which is dedicated to the sale of railway lands in Palermo (train San Martín) , Liniers and Caballito (train Sarmiento), whose management was transferred to the AABE in 2017.
