On Tuesday, the state attorney general of San Luis Potosí kidnapped the boy from the house where he lived with his parents and placed him under the care of an uncle. The disturbing video recorded by his neighbor was released Tuesday after the authorities acted.

The pictures show the boy whose identity was protected, standing on an area of ​​land under the sun with a string hung around the left foot with a padlock. The recording can be heard when he explains that he had another string on his right foot but that he removed it because it was burning.

Asked for the reason, the boy explained that the string His parents had used it as a form of punishment, since a psychologist had advised them to stop hitting him and forcing him to be chained by these practices.
