Scandalous video: amputee the tail of a dog looking for food in the trash | Chronic

A man attacked a street dog who was looking for food in a garbage bin with garden shears and cut his tail in the municipality of Huehuetlán El Chico, in the Mexican state of Puebla. The aberrant episode was captured in a video that was broadcast by the residents of this city on social networks and aroused anger and outrage among hundreds of users.

The incident occurred last weekend but he became aware of the viralized recording. In the film, we can see how the canine climbed a street in a bin and looked for food. Suddenly, a man dressed in a gray shirt appeared with a pruner that he used to amputate the tail of the animal that ran away terrorized.

Acts of animal abuse have generated enormous anger among cybernists and animal rights advocates. In a publication through its Twitter and Facebook profiles, the organization Leaving Patitas Chiautla asked its subscribers for information to identify the manager and demanded that she be sanctioned by the authorities.

The Mundo Patitas Association reported that the abuser had a nickname "Rooster", designated as a municipal cleaning service worker.

"The video of a dog is circulating in networks that, supposedly attracted by his hunger, have climbed into a bin located in a #HuehuetlanElChico # Puebla square, while those who record make fun of his efforts to not fall, a man he's nicknamed "Gallo" wants to first hit him with gardener's scissors that he's wearing, but at the last moment he decides to cut the tail of this innocent animal ", wrote the Animal Care.

The Environmental Secretariat in Puebla, for its part, described the fact that "unacceptable" and noted that, through the Animal Welfare Institute, corroborate the facts to locate the responsible person and act accordingly.

In another tweet, the institution said that thanks to police collaboration and the denunciation of citizens who identified the abuser, they opened a case against him.

Last year, 1,700 complaints of ill-treatment were resolved in Mexico City. Many of them were for the illegal retention of wild animals in private markets and homes; and for species injured or found in poor condition on the streets of the Mexican capital, reported the Animal Surveillance Brigade (BVA).

On the other hand, studies submitted by international organizations for the protection of animal rights, with figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), estimate that there are 18 millions of dogs in this country, of which 30% have owners, while 70℅ are in the streets.

The Animal Adoption and Rescue Center, meanwhile, has revealed that 7 out of 10 dogs are victims of abuse and neglect, whether they have an owner or those who live in abandonment.
