Selfie with gorillas: the unusual viral photo where animals look like models

What is atypical is that the animals pose upright, with a very human appearance, and look towards the camera. The BBC wrote that the effectiveness of the capture of the image is probably due to the trust of both animals with the ranger, who saved them when they were small.

These gorillas arrived at Virunga's "orphanage," after their mother was killed by poachers in July 2017, while the two brothers were only a few months old.

Vice Virunga Park director Innocent Mburanumwe told the BBC that the two gorillas had learned to imitate the actions of those who healed them when they were safe, who considered them their parents.
