A series of gun attacks in the Mexican municipality of Reynosa (Tamaulipas) left at least 14 people dead on Saturday afternoon.
The State Coordination Group for the Construction of La Paz in Tamaulipas, which coordinates the security forces, reported that the attacks were carried out by a group of individuals in several vehicles, who opened fire while ‘they were crossing the colonies of Almaguer, Lampacitos, Workers and Welfare Unit, informed the agency EFE.

In the state of Tamaulipas, on the border with the United States, operates the Gulf Cartel, a criminal organization in which different groups have a violent internal conflict to control a key territory for drug trafficking and human trafficking .
The last massacre recorded in the region took place on January 22, when 19 charred bodies (16 were Guatemalan citizens) were found in a truck in the town of Santa Anita, in the municipality of Camargo.
