The Health Ministry revealed on Friday that 17 more cases of the Delta variant of the coronavirus have been detected in the country, bringing the total to 46, of which 45 correspond to people with a history of staying abroad and one to a case with an epidemiological link with a traveler.
He also reported that the ANLIS-Malbrn laboratory isolated samples from these 17 new cases corresponding to residents of the city of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, the province of Buenos Aires, Tucumn and Salta, and that the national health authorities and jurisdictional are “to carry out the respective epidemiological investigations, as well as the symptomatic cohabiting contacts”.

Regarding people with a travel history, the National Health Portfolio reported that “36% were detected in the testing device upon entry into the country (16 cases) and 64% (29 cases) were positive during their isolation due to having started having symptoms after entering Argentina, or for having had positive results when carrying out the PCR test on the seventh day of isolation ”.
Travelers who tested positive for the Delta variant came from the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Mexico, Montenegro, Panama, France, Denmark and Venezuela.
