Emirates – A 20-year-old woman in Abu Dhabi, UAE, filed for divorce after her husband forgot to bring her dinner, reports Khaleej Times.

According to the newspaper, the woman stayed at home while her husband was dating friends and he forgot to pick up his order at a fast food restaurant. When he returned home around 3am without the hamburger his wife was waiting for, a heated discussion began that ended when the woman left the house and filed for divorce.

In the same vein, the media quotes lawyer Hasan Al Mazrooqi, saying that some couples need to be educated to have realistic expectations about life in marriage.

In early February, a Kuwaiti couple divorced within three minutes of her marriage after the groom had revealed an unexpected aspect of his personality. When the couple left the yard, the woman stumbled and the husband's reaction ridiculed her and called her "stupid". This provoked the wrath of the woman, who again addressed the judge and asked for the immediate annulment of the marriage.
