The Economist Julia Strada Rodriguez, who worked as a columnist on the C5N news channel, was appointed new director of the Bank of the Argentine Nation.

The appointment was formalized by Decree 377/2021, published this Wednesday in the Official Journal, with the signatures of President Alberto Fernández, the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, and the Minister of the Economy, Martín Guzmán.

“As of June 1, 2021, the director of BANCO DE LA NACIÓN ARGENTINA is appointed as Dr Julia STRADA RODRÍGUEZ, to complete a period of entitlement which expires on December 30, 2023”, reads the regulation.

The economist is also director of the Banco Provincia group, a position she held after the resignation of the mayor of Vicente López, Jorge Macri, and after being appointed by the president of this entity, Juan Cuattromo, on the basis of the appointment. of Governor Axel Kicillof.

Rosario-born Strada Rodríguez, 32, emerged after being one of the people responsible for presenting business news on C5N.

The economist graduated in political science from the National University of Rosario. He also holds a master’s degree in political economy (FLACSO) and a doctorate in economic development (UNQUI).

She was also a Conicet Fellow and is a member of the Argentine Political Economy Center (CEPA), an economic research factory with a heterodox tendency, with an affinity with Kirchnerism.
