The chain of survival in the animal world usually shows difficult situations, but ultimately they are part of the daily diet in this kingdom. A terrifying affair took place in the courtyard of a house, where a man filmed the moment when a huge crocodile devoured a smaller one.

The episode took place at a home in the US region of California del sur, where according to the man who posted the video, a week earlier, the reptile that fell victim to the larger alligator, he had eaten an even smaller one.

In the video posted on the social network Twitter for Taylor soper, the predator, half submerged in a pond, swallowed the other two-meter-long reptile in a few seconds, before descending calmly into the water. “He’s a hell of a dinosaur”, the man commented.

According to Soper, the incident took place in his parents’ yard in Horry County and was precisely his father who recorded the attack. The man revealed that this is not the only case of cannibalism detected in recent weeks, and that he saw how last weekend the reptile that fell victim to the largest alligator, he had eaten an even smaller one.

According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, alligators take advantage of anything nearby for food, or even other animals of the same species if necessary. For this reason, crocodiles are a rather solitary species since they often fight with each other to eat, court or protect their territory.
