The General Directorate of Customs (DGA), which depends on the AFIP, was incorporated this Thursday as the plaintiff in the case which investigates the possible aggravated smuggling in the sending of weapons and repressive material to the Bolivia, organized in 2019 by the Government of Mauricio Macri during the days when a coup d’état took place in this country against the former president Evo Morales.

The Customs, headed by Silvia Traverso, handed over on paper the documentation contained in virtual format requested by the magistrate Javier López Bizcayart, in charge of the investigation and who allowed the judicial justice to deal with this case.

The presentation as the customs complainant in the case is part of the national government’s decision to expand the complaint of aggravated smuggling of war material, allegedly committed by the highest authorities in the Cambiemos leadership.

The idea is to reconstruct the route of the Argentinian ammunition found in a shed of the Bolivian police., supported by documentary evidence, which would show that the cargo manifest of the Hercules plane that he took to the gendarmes in 2019 was tampered with to hide the shipment of riot gear.

In this context, the DGA explained that it will add “the expertise of the customs service to the work carried out by the court and the prosecution”, on the basis of the complaint presented by the Minister of Security, Sabina Frédéric; the Minister of Justice, Martín Soria; and the director of AFIP, Mercedes Marcó del Pont.

From the images disseminated by the Bolivian government concerning the Argentinian ammunition, the plaintiffs were able to verify that the batch number of the ammunition corresponds to that of those purchased in 2018 and 2019 by the National Gendarmerie from Fabricaciones Militares.

The other element of the presentation will be the cargo manifest of the Hercules C-130 aircraft which arrived in Bolivia in the early morning of November 13, 2019 with an Alacrán commando group, from the National Gendarmerie, its supplies and the cargo under investigation. the contraband figure.

The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Martin Soria, He argued that “the smuggling is clear” since “the arsenal was rudely and clumsily removed and used in the repression in Bolivia” and that “a few days after the release of the weapons there were two massacres. They sent arms and ammunition to guarantee a coup d’état in a brother country ”.
