Spain: flights were canceled and demonstrations took place at Barcelona airport

The force attacked them while they were trying to break the cord of agents who were preventing entry at the airport. A spokesman for the Catalan regional police, the Mossos of Esquadra, confirmed "containment maneuvers in front of the people who tried to pass the police line ".

The newspaper The country Spain reported that at least 108 flights had been canceled due to the collapse of El Prat airport. In addition, the emergency services indicated that at least 53 people were to receive medical assistance.

The protest was intended to repudiate the sentence that also sentenced former Catalan President Oriol Junqueras to 13 years' imprisonment for sedition and embezzlement, the harshest sentence handed down to the twelve separatists prosecuted from February to June by the Supreme Court of Madrid.
