The Sputnik V vaccine uses human adenovirus technology from two different vectors, Ad26 and Ad5, which are applied in two injections, to be administered 21 days apart.
This solution does not contain live human adenoviruses, but adenoviral vectors which do not multiply and are completely harmless to health.
The drug has so far been licensed in 66 countries with a total population of over 3.2 billion people.
