Starbucks adds boxes to dispose of needles in their bathrooms

Starbucks Corp., aware that often it's a secure space for the most vulnerable visitors, has installed boxes for throw needles in some of his installations.

The coffee giant has begun installing boxes in several US markets. in January, after receiving requests from employees last year, said a spokeswoman. He will add them to any store where employees mention the need, he said.

"SWe are always working with our partners and listening to them to see how we can best help them with such problems."Starbucks said in an email, citing "fear situations" and the need to ensure that their workers "to be out of danger".

The spokeswoman said that there appeared to be no direct connection between her welcoming approach and the need for needle collection boxes, pointing out that it was "a concern from the entire industry and is not exclusive to Starbucks"

Business Insider, who reported the news earlier, said the boxes had been added in about 25 markets.
