Start exploiting a new solar park in San Luis – 01/03/2019

The Cumbre II Solar Park in San Luis has integrated its energy into the national interconnection system and became the 30th renewable energy project enter into commercial exploitation at the national level.

The Ministry of Energy announced that the new park had been awarded in the renewable energy market (MaTER), with 795 Mw installed capacity and an investment of $ 1,220 million.

Among the renewable energy projects already in operation, there are 10 photovoltaic solar technologies, 11 wind turbines, 1 hydroelectric, 5 biogas and 3 biombades. They are located in Córdoba, Rio Negro, Misiones, San Luis, Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, San Juan, Chubut, Catamarca and La Rioja.

In all there are 126 renewable energy projects in development if you add those that are already operating commercially and those who are under construction. Together, they represent 4,593 Mw of installed capacity and an investment of more than 6,800 million US dollars.
