Strong video: police shot dead man who threatened to stab his wife to death | the Chronicle

City police Baltimore, Maryland, at United States, shot a man who held his partner at the end of a knife. The act was recorded by cameras in uniform.

The episode it happened on May 16 and a few days ago it became known. In the first seconds of the video, a conversation of a child and the police is overheard, he tells them that his father threatened his mother with a knife.

Upon entering the house, the troops announced their presence. Arrived on the second floor, they saw the subject, identified as Timothy Fleming, with the knife in his hand and his partner Shannon Burnham sitting on the floor.

The police started a dialogue with the Flemish and they made it clear that they did not want “do not hurt anyone”. They told him he could “have the knife in hand but let it move” a Burnham.

Commissioner Michael harrison explained to local media that the man’s partner and the police attempted to “reason” with the aggressor, but subject grabbed the woman by the hair and attempted to stab her.

At once the police opened fire on Fleming, died at the scene. His partner was not injured. She stated that they were together 15 years ago and had two children. He assured that the behavior of his partner “it was not typical” and stated that the police “shouldn’t have” mess it up.

The case is still under investigation. As, Harrison assured that his agents had tried to resolve the situation in a way “peaceful” at any time.
