On March 14, the 26-year-old, violating the mandatory quarantine ordered by the executive branch, attended a 15-year-old birthday party in a room, where he infected 19 people, including his grandfather, deceased. disease.
Two days after the event, Torales visited a clinic in the Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires with symptoms consistent with covid-19, where he was confirmed to be a carrier of the disease.
The investigation began following a complaint from the mayor of the municipality of Moreno, Mariel Fernández, who reported that on March 19, the medical surveillance system (SAME) in that town received five calls from people who said have fever syndrome. ??, and that all had coincided in a birthday party which the accused had attended.
