Surprise on a plane: rode and was the only passenger on a plane for 188 people

A Lithuanian had a big surprise when boarding his plane for Italy: he was the only pbadenger aboard the Boeing 737-800.

Skirmantas Strimaitis, who traveled from the Lithuanian capital Vilna to the Italian city of Bergamo on March 16 to ski, had all the air for him. The plane has a capacity of 188 pbadengers. The only other people on board were two pilots and five crew members.

The travel agency Novaturas announced having booked the plane to repatriate a group of people from Italy and prevent the plane from being empty, one way tickets were sold. Only one person bought one of these tickets.

Strimaitis told The Associated Press Tuesday that the trip of more than two hours was "something that happens only once in his life".
