Presumed members of La Familia Michoacana (LFM) they detained a caravan of bikers, they pointed their guns at them and stripped them of their motorcycles as they drove down a highway in the southern state of Mexico, one of the three entities that make up the so-called Tierra Caliente and where the criminal group has a large presence.

Facts, recorded by the camera on the helmet of one of the affected persons, occurred in a wooded area of ​​the highway that connects Toluca, capital of the state of Mexico, to the municipality of Texcaltitlán. The footage shows when the motorcyclists were pulled over by a group of gunmen who ordered them to get out of their vehicles and remove their helmets.

Later, according to the first versions, at least four people wearing balaclavas and bulletproof vests asked motorcyclists to line up and hand them cell phones and wallets. Although they were stripped of their valuables, one of the motorcyclists was able to record the moment of the theft.

At the beginning of February 2021, agents of the National Guard (GN) were injured after a clash recorded precisely in the municipality of Texcaltitlán. According to police reports, the shooting took place on the La Puerta – Sultepec highway, near the town of Las Lágrimas.

Elements of the National Guard repelled the attack and killed one subject, who was left in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. After the confrontation, two policemen were injured and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The other armed civilians got out of the vehicles and managed to escape on foot through the wooded area. In addition to the car, elements of the GN secured a red Ford Lobo pickup without license plates, in which long guns and useful cartridges of different calibers were found.

On the drug trafficking map, the Michoacan family dominates the southern part of the state. In this place there is an alliance between the said criminal organization and the Templars, with which they managed to move the Guerreros Unidos criminal cell from a large part of the territory.
