Teacher convicted of having sex with two of her students | the Chronicle

A 32-year-old woman who worked as a substitute teacher at a school in the United States was sentenced to two years in prison and three more on probation for having sex with two students under the age of 19.

The event occurred in the town of Ragland, where the teacher was working at a high school in St. Clair County. The, Whitley Mizzel has had sex with two of her students at least three times.

Although not having violated the age of consentAlabama state law criminalizes sexual relations between a student under the age of 19 and an adult school employee, even in the case of consensual acts.

After bringing the case to court, it was decided that the woman should serve 2 years of effective prison and 3 years of probation, in addition to registering for sex offenders. In the event of a repeat offense, she will be forced to complete the other 8 years of sentence.
