JERUSALEM – Two rockets were fired
Gaza
in the Tel Aviv region today at night, the Israeli army said in a statement, without giving any other information.
Shortly before the announcement of the army, two sirens had sounded in Tel Aviv and in nearby towns, and Israeli media had reported that the defense system of the Iron Dome of Israel had opened fire. No casualties or injuries have been reported yet.
Only one of the missiles was intercepted by the Hierra Dome, while the second fell into an open area.
Some media claim that the missiles are Fajar type, able to reach Tel Aviv and central Israel.
These missiles would be held by Islamic Jihad in Gaza.
