Terrorist alert in London: they found small explosive devices in a metro station and in two airports

British anti-terror unit investigates three parcels containing small improvised explosive devices found Tuesday at London Heathrow and London City Airport buildings, as well as at the train station Waterloo

The responsible authorities consider, according to a statement, that there is a link between the three devices received between 09:55 and 12:10 GMT, in these places.

Initial badyzes indicated that the packages, consisting of A4 sized padded envelopes and one of which was opened by the staff of an office building adjacent to Heathrow, had the ability to "start a small fire".

Security forces badured that they keep an "open mind" on the possible motivations of sending explosives.

Regular flights to both London airports have not been affected, although London City Airport metro station was closed temporarily as a precaution and has already been reopened.

The first of three devices, contained in a white postal envelope, was received at The center of the compbad, where are some Heathrow management offices.

In opening it, a blast that burned some of the packaging, according to police, who explained that no one was injured.

At 11:40 am GMT, agents received an alert call another suspicious package detected in the room where the mail is stored at Waterloo Station, in central London.

The station has not been evacuated and rail services have not been suspendedalthough an area outside the building was cordoned off by the police.

In the late morning, a new warning was issued by City Aviation House, the building housing the main offices of London City Airport, whose staff was evacuated as a precaution.
