The 2019 Chinese New Year celebration in the Falkland Islands is approaching

Next Sunday, February 24, we will celebrate the Chinese New Year 2019 in the city, an opportunity that has become an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Asian country.

The initiative, organized by the Pro Humanae Vitae Foundation and the Platense Kung Fu community, with the support of the Municipality of La Plata, the Confucius Institute of UNLP, the Embbady the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Social Development of the Province of Buenos Aires; It will be held on February 24 from 12:30 to 23:00, in Plaza Islas Malvinas, on Avenida 19 and 51, with free admission.

In this setting and every year, the public can watch the parade of dragons and lions, the traditional Chinese fashion show, the parade of local dances and the tea ceremony. In addition, it will be possible to buy typical Asian products and enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine, with the most varied offer of dishes.

At the same time, free and open clbades of Chinese calligraphy and tai chi will be taught; There will be Kung Fu exhibitions and the "Wenhua, photographic representation of Chinese culture" will take place.
