The air force celebrates its day in Cordoba with a party in the air

The Argentine Air Force will turn 107 on August 10 and Cordoba will advance the celebration. It will be this Wednesday, from 10:30, at the Military Aviation School, located at kilometer 6½ of the Avenue of the Air Force (on the way to Villa Carlos Paz).

Its origin dates back to 1912, when the president of the Roque Sáenz Peña Nation of the time created by decree the military aviation school.

He did it ashore in El Palomar, in the province of Buenos Aires.

Mission

Since its creation, the armed institution has the specific mission of organizing, maintaining and recruiting the national air forces to contribute to the defense of Argentina, exercising its sovereignty in the airspace.

It depends on the country's Ministry of Defense and in 2014 it had 12,907 members, according to the portfolio data.
