In part of an interview that Mundo D will publish this Saturday in its print edition, Talleres goalkeeper Mauricio Caranta said: “I don’t think I’m going to stop playing in December. Now is not the time to make this decision and even more with this injury situation (due to the low back pain that he operated on a few days ago). When I leave, I will do it while playing.

In this regard, he was asked if he communicated it at the time to club president Andrés Fassi, who in several interviews had indicated that “Mauri” would stop playing this month.

“I had not told Andrés that I would stop playing in December. I haven’t set a deadline for myself. I never said that. My link to Talleres expires on December 31st, but I don’t see myself stopping playing this month or next month as the tournament ends in mid-January. Now what I want and what motivates me is to recover from this injury, and after that date I will assess, ”he added.

Caranta also assured that he did not have a ban with Fassi, a journalistic version that began to circulate a few days ago. “Nothing happened, I don’t have to go out and clarify what didn’t happen. It never happened. And even less a problem with Andrés, ”he stressed.

Regarding the injury that caused him to undergo surgery, he said: “This injury hurts me because I was playing, I was doing it well and continuously. I have never had a back injury. It was very pleasant what I was going through, but it is an injury that is overcome, it is not death. With a little rest and attention, I will recover and soon I will be able to resume training alongside my teammates, which I love the most now. It’s not an injury that takes six or seven months to heal. “
