The Argentine army specialized in firefighting, with vehicles and logistical support equipment, began Thursday in Bolivia to join the international aid in the fight against fires recorded in the Amazon, reported the Chief of Staff.
During the morning, the troops began their journey to the Bolivian border through the international pbadage of Salvador Mazza-Yacuiba in a column composed of trucks and various materials, which will be used in the areas affected by the fire.

More than 200 military, tankers, transport trucks, refrigerators, logistics, landfills, buses, trucks, water treatment plants, backhoe loaders, among other supplies, constitute the military aid that the Argentine government has sent in Bolivia for the purpose of: Help in the fight against fires in the Amazon.

The unit, which is under the coordination of the Directorate of Military Emergency Assistance of the Armed Forces Operational Command, has the capacity to operate autonomously for 20 days, as it is equipped with Teams of high-performance military engineers.

The members of the military brigade of this joint task force will be based in the Bolivian region of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from which they will participate in the fight against fire in the cities of Concepción and Roboré.
