The Argentine delegation broke a historic record: the Lima ranking

A few moments ago, the 2019 Olympic Games in Lima were completed and the Argentinian delegation was one of the main protagonists from beginning to end. With 32 gold medals, he broke his own historic record out of our country and climbed to the sixth step of the medal count.

Albiceleste athletes have 101 in total, divided into 32 gold, 35 silver and 34 bronze. It had more than when it was local: 154 (68 gold) in Buenos Aires in 1951 and 159 (40 gold) in Mar del Plata in 1995. The best performance of the visitors had been in Mexico City in 1955, with 27 gold and 80 general podiums.

In this way, the national representatives were only below the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Cuba in terms of first places obtained.
