The minister also mentioned the risk of sinking the vaults, beyond the three points where it happened during the fire.

That's why it will remove everything that has fallen to them – mostly wooden beams and lead plates from the roof – and will be covered to protect them in case of rain, the EFE news agency reported.
Beyond this protection, did not exclude the idea of ​​covering the cathedral with the French flag on July 14, the day of the national holiday.

In addition, the rector of Notre-Dame, Patrick Chauvet, today announced that an "ephemeral wooden cathedral" would be erected on the square in front of the iconic Gothic building, so as not to deprive the faithful and tourists during the years of reconstruction.

The head of Culture, who reiterated "the goal" set by French President Emmanuel Macron, to rebuild the cathedral in five years, said he did not think Notre Dame should remain closed to the public during all this time and had recognized that there are many such ideas as that of the "ephemeral" cathedral.
