First oral trial of the former head of the Federal Revenue Administration (AFIP) Ricardo Echegaray it was postponed. Its start was scheduled for tomorrow, but for agenda items, the Federal Courts 4 has postponed it to May 10th.

This is the case that gave birth to the former Minister of Finance Alfonso Prat-Gay for a false report in which he used secret tax information.

For this case, the Federal Oral Court 4 is composed of three judges from different jurisdictions and the compatibility of the previous proceedings has complicated the beginning of the process. Néstor Costabel is the sole owner. Currently, the court holds oral proceedings against the businessman Lázaro Báez and other defendants for money laundering.

Echegaray will be tried because he used confidential tax information report criminally in 2014 to Prat-Gay. Punctually, the former minister was accused of being a member of an illicit badociation that escaped the tax through two Swiss bank accounts of the late Amalia Lacroze's family of Fortabat. Prat-Gay was a businesswoman's finance administrator.

For this reason, Echegaray left in August 2016 as head of the country 's Office of General Audit, where he arrived after his departure from AFIP in December 2015.

Former officials of AFIP, Horacio Curien and Pedro Roveda, will be judged with Echegaray.
