The brutal video in which two men beat and stab young men to death in India

Two young men were beaten and stabbed to death on Tuesday by another pair of men near a New Delhi metro station, capital of India.

The victims, Rohit Agrawal, 23 years old, and Ghanshayam (with an unknown last name), 20, were attacked in the early hours of Tuesday. Police declared them dead after being taken to hospital, Indian media reported.

The incident was recorded on a closed circuit television camera (CCTV) placed in a neighboring building. The video shows both the attackers repeatedly beat and stabbed young people before they collapsed in the street.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, also shows two other men walking in the neighborhood, who saw the murder and chose to do nothing.

An anonymous call alerted police to the bodies lying on the road.

With CCTV images, the police managed to capture one of the two suspected killers, a minor whose identity is unknown. The other accused has been identified as Pradeep Kohli, 19 years old.

Revealing details of the incident, the detained suspect said there was fight after the victim’s vehicle collides with his motorbike.

Police also confiscated the knife used to stab the victims, as well as the motorcycle that the attackers were driving at the time of the attack.

The crime rate in New Delhi is four times higher than in other metropolitan cities in the country. According to statistics from the National Criminal Records Bureau (NCRB), the number of crimes committed in the Indian capital has increased by more than 20% between 2018 and 2019. Along with other flights, Delhi recorded a total of 472 murder cases in 2020.
