The Catholic community of Posadas recalled the entrance of Jesus to Jerusalem with a procession to the cathedral

The Palm Sunday start on Holy Week which then ends with the Easter. Around the world, thousands of parishioners remembered the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In Posadas a procession took place accompanied by the palms, emblematic element of the religious celebration.

The central celebration in Posadas began at 18:30. San Martín Squarefrom there, the faithful went on a pilgrimage 9th of July square, where we proceeded to Mbad.

According to New Testament GospelsJesus of Nazareth triumphantly entered Jerusalem in the midst of a crowd that acclaimed him. Before entering, Jesus stopped at Bethany and Betfageand the Gospel of John adds that he dined with Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha. There it is reported that Jesus sent two disciples to the neighboring village, with the order to retrieve a burrito that had been attached, but never badembled and said: "If asked, say that the Lord needs the burrito and that it 's not. he will return it later ".

The synoptics and John state that Jesus knew that there were people in the area, like Simon the Leper, so he could have argued that the presence of the donkey had been organized by the disciples of Jesus. The Gospel of John, however, simply says that Jesus found the donkey. John and the Synoptics establish that Jesus next ascended the donkey (or Matthew, the donkey and the donkey, mother of it), inside Jerusalem. The synoptics add that the disciples could lay their diapers on the animal, thus making it more comfortable. The Gospels describe how Jesus came to Jerusalem and how the people lined his way and how he left small branches of trees aside.
