The Chinese Communist Party Centenary Parade | Xi Jinping spoke of “an irreversible historical process”

With a massive military and popular parade in front of Tianamen Gate, the Chinese government celebrated the centenary of the communist party. In his triumphant speech, President Xi Jinping and sent a message to Washington: “The nation has entered an irreversible historical process” as an international power.

“The days when the Chinese people could be trampled on, suffered and oppressed are forever past.”said the president of the second international power that geopolitically, the United States is its main political and economic rival.

On Thursday morning, 100 cannon shots rang out in Beijing to mark the centenary. The Air Force acrobatic patrol, composed of combat aircraft, flew over the Tiananmen Square, drawing red, yellow and blue beams in the sky.

Some helicopters formed the number “100” in the sky, some with party flag, with yellow hammer and sickle on red background.

A few hours before the start of the ceremony, thousands of young people made their way to Tiananmen Square under draconian security measures. Participants told AFP they were not allowed to carry cell phones.
