Since President Mauricio Macri has authorized the debate on the legalization of abortion in Congress, the Church sought to clarify the fact that the issue was not centrally religious, but moral : this science, he said, life from the moment of conception and, therefore, the voluntary termination of pregnancy involved the elimination of a human being. It was a way of getting around the criticism of those who accuse him of wanting to impose their religious positions on the whole society.
