The city of Buenos Aires now informs which vaccines are applied in each vaccination

The government of the city of Buenos Aires allows to know, via its website, which brand of vaccine against the coronavirus is applied each day in its vaccinations. This information allows those who miss to be vaccinated with the first dose the possibility of opting for one of the three vaccines offered to porteños.

Currently, in the federal capital, three types of vaccines against Covid-19 are applied, sent by the national government to this district. There is Sputnik V of Russian origin, which is applied in two components with an interdose period of 90 days; AstraZeneca (origin Covax and mAbxience) with a delay between applications of 56 days; and the Chinese Sinopharm which takes between 21 and 28 days between each component.

Those who intend to be vaccinated between Tuesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 22, the only days with information about vaccinations that are applied in vaccination centers in Buenos Aires, have received almost all of the Sinopharm vaccine. On these three days, just for today, at Parque Roca and the Communications Club, the vaccine produced by the AstraZeneca laboratory and the University of Oxford is offered. In other vaccination centers, the dose that will be applied is not identified.

The option is useful for people who have not yet been vaccinated and who have the option of making an appointment to identify the brand of vaccine they wish to receive. In any case, the CABA government specifies that “information is subject to last minute changes”.

According to the epidemiological component proposed by the administration of Buenos Aires, yesterday there were 725 positive cases of Covid, 26 patients discharged, and 15 deaths. Regarding the vaccination plan, out of the 1,794,411 first doses received from the national government, the City has already applied 1,746,092. On the other hand, a total of 530,367 people have completed the vaccination with the second component.
