A commemorative edition of "Rayuela" by Julio Cortázar will be presented on Thursday, March 28 at the Teatro Real in the city of Córdoba, where will be held the VIII International Congress of the Spanish language from March 27 to 30.
The edition includes, for the first time since 1983, the facsimile reproduction of the "Cuaderno de bitácora", with the notes of Cortázar for the writing of the novel, and incorporates additional texts of Gabriel García Márquez , Adolfo Bioy Casares, Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Sergio Ramirez, Julio Ortega, Andrés Amoros, Eduardo Romano and Graciela Montaldo.
The Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), the Association of Spanish Language Academies (ASALE), the Argentinean Academy of Letras (AAL) and the Alfaguara publishing house will thus seek to pay tribute to one of the most important Spanish writers of all time. times, and whose work in the 1960s crowned the rise of Latin American literature.
With RayuelaCortázar gave the character a literary character: a game that involves the reader as a protagonist and is therefore renewed every time, thus remaining valid for life.
The commemorative edition also includes, for the first time since 1983, the facsimile reproduction of the "Logbook", the notebook in which Cortázar wrote ideas, scenes and characters from the novel during the writing process.
This notebook allows, as a game so appreciated by Cortázar, a dialogue between the author and the reader on the novel that crosses the boundaries of time. The presentation will take place at 8 pm, at the Teatro Real, located in San Jerónimo 66.
