As previously announced, the second-generation Ford Ecosport is coming to an end in the medium term, as the brand begins to give life to the project that will boost the new edition of the oval SUV, in an attempt to continue to lead the segment ( at least in Argentina), which adds more and more competitors.

The vehicle of the American firm was born in 2003 in Brazil, mounted on the basis of the Fiesta, to give a greater impetus to the society of the neighboring country. Until now, it was thought that the Ecosport would be developed by a Chinese or Indian brand badociated with Ford, such as Changan or Mahindra, because the star of the American manufacturer, the SUV, is also strongly present in different Asian markets.

Quatro Rodas (sister magazine of Parabrisas) revealed that, according to a close source, the project BX563, badociated with Changan, had died long ago. He also added that the unprecedented sporting utility of the oval is being developed by Ford in Camaçari (owned by the Brazilian state of Bahia).

Unlike the development BX563, the oval brand is preparing a new project called BX775, which will give the third generation of the Ecosport a longer wheelbase to increase the interior space, in addition to the dynamism of the rear sector lines, although the SUV Ford will continue with the same platform (B2E).
