Aquagenic urticaria is a rare disease that involves an antigen present on the skin which, on contact with water, dissolves and triggers a series of adverse reactions such as inflammation, pain, and injuries such as burns.

“I suffer from muscle fatigue and nausea. The problem occurs when I eat something with a lot of water, such as fruits and vegetables. Even drinking water can cut my tongue, ”Tessa told British media.

He added: “It is very difficult to manage this condition. I am allergic to my own tears, saliva and sweat.

He also suffers from headaches and fever after contact, but struggles not to let the condition overwhelm him.

That’s why he didn’t hesitate to enroll in university. She attends classes, for which she has special transport that does not make her sweat. And he doesn’t play sports.

As part of her treatment, Tessa needs to take nine antihistamine pills a day.
