The earthquake in Chile was felt in Mendoza

An earthquake of average magnitude on the coast of Chile was felt this morning by residents of Mendoza.

As reported by the National Institute of Seismic Prevention (Inpres), the earthquake occurred 7.52 km away and the epicenter was located 10 km deep in the area. Pacific Ocean, near the coast of the Trans-Atlantic town of San Antonio southwest of Santiago de Chile and 352 kilometers west of Mendoza.

The magnitude was 5.1 on the Richter scale and caused no damage.
