The Eiffel Tower celebrates 130 years with music, photos, games and theater – 30/03/2019

The Eiffel Tower celebrates this weekend in Paris the 130th anniversary of its inauguration with two days of celebration marked by games, performances in period costumes and music that will give the starting signal for other commemorations during the year.

From this Saturday, March 30, the company that operates the most emblematic monument of Paris organizes treasure hunt with riddles and sisters interpreted by actors dressed as in the 19th century.

In addition, musical entertainment with fanfares were scheduled in the evening, including one of the school of engineers where the father of the Eiffel Tower, Gustave Eiffel, studied.

In the parterre, an exhibition featuring large photographs of some 270 staff members working on the monument was installed and a plaque was placed in the honor of some 200 workers who worked on its construction.

Recently, two gardens were recovered on the esplanade after remodeling, for security reasons, the enclosure with glbad screens.

There will be other commemorations on May 15, when the monument was opened to the public 130 years ago. Since then, more than 308 million people have pbaded. Last year, they were 6.1 million.

Once upon a time
