Peugeot publishes images and officially presents its new 208, which will be the big launch this year, which will also include the Peugeot e-208, the new electric car of the French manufacturer.

As for its characteristics, it has a motor of 100 kW (power of 136 hp), which delivers an instant torque of 260 Nm, and which accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds in mode Sport (also will have Eco and Normal modes).

It has a battery with a storage capacity of 50 kWh, a range of 340 km.

You can charge 80% of your charge in just 30 minutes with a 100 kW compressor. However, in the domestic sector, with a three-phase wall box of 11 kW, the complete charging of the batteries takes up to 5 hours and 15 minutes; in one of the 7.4 kW single-phase up to 8 hours, and in a conventional socket, with a reinforced Legrand Green Up jack, it would take 16 hours.

The temperature of the battery is regulated by a liquid cooling circuit which allows a fast charge, an optimal autonomy and a longer life. The brand guarantees 70% of battery capacity for 8 years or 160,000 km.

Peugeot predicted that an electric version of this model would be released in 2020.
