The Ministry of Mobility (Semos) of Mexico City and the government of the capital reported that the metro station Peripheral East will have a stop provisioninginside of Metrobús express pop-up service which replaces the Line 12.
The new station will begin operations on August 9, since work is currently underway to install the temporary platforms, which allow the public to board the articulated units.
Peripheral East joins the route made by public transport from Tláhuac to AtlalilcoIt will operate alongside Tláhuac, Nopalera, Tezonco and Atlalico stations.
“We also announced that, gradually, the number of Metrobús service stations would be extended, The works have already started to integrate, as a point of ascent, Periférico OrienteIt is an important station precisely because it is an interconnection junction with other transport routes, in particular those which pass through Periférico. This station will be operational from August 9, with the same characteristics and conditions as the rest of the Metrobús service stations on Avenida Tláhuac ”, said the secretary for capital mobility, Andrés Lajous.

The official indicated that the Emerging Mobility Network already serves 280 buses and over 150 support people. Likewise, he announced that RTP support exhibited an occupancy rate close to 50% during peak hours in the morning, while 60% is enjoyed in the evening.
Likewise, it has been pointed out that trolleybus line 7 provides service with 30 units (20 single and 10 articulated), with which 25 thousand passengers are transported daily and it has been recorded that the journey time from Tláhuac to Taxqueña has decreased to 70 minutes.
It should be noted that the departure was also shown in joint work with the CDMX Water System (SacMex)These works aim to prevent flooding in the region during the remainder of the rainy season.
