Washington. The United States rejected China Mobile's request to access its telecommunications market, saying its ties with Beijing threatened national security, officials said Thursday.
The Federal Communications Commission has stated that since control and ownership of China Mobile belonged to the Chinese government, its access to the United States would generate "significant and serious risks to national security and law enforcement."
This decision puts an end to eight years of effort by the Chinese telecommunications giant to settle in the United States.
