The FBI reported that an inmate in an American jail had become the biggest serial killer in the country's history: killed 93 women between 1970 and 2005.

It is about Samuel Little, a 79 year old man now, who was arrested in 2012. In one of the investigations, the accused confessed to killing these 93 women. The detectives said their stories were credible.

Investigators have already determined that Little had killed 50 people listed. Some of these cases have been recorded in the states of Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Nevada and Louisiana.

Most of the victims were strangled, Little added before the judge, while they were serving a life sentence of several years in a California jail. Some of the bodies have never been found.

The FBI has released a video of an investigation in which the serial killer detailed one of his crimes: he recounted how he had strangled a woman in 1993 and then threw her in a downward slope.

Now police in various states of the country are trying to link Little's confessions to unresolved cases since 1970, when he began attacking the 93 women. The Knox County authorities in Tennessee said Sunday that it was possible that Martha Cunningham was one of Little's victims.
