The "fine print" of Travel Sale: what to keep in mind before taking a ticket

With proposals aimed at those looking for low season travel deals, this Monday started the fifth edition of Travel Sale. Until March 24, some 45 travel agencies offer discounts on packages, flights, tours, hotels and medical badistance. But above all, more financing by interest-free installments.

However, some offers hide "small print" to take into account when taking a ticket. The highlight of this edition is funding in 12 installments maximum without interest or packages. Before you buy, you must keep in mind that in these promotions some airline tickets include only hand luggage, traditional airlines and low-cost airlines.

"They do this kind of thing to try to compete and reduce costs. I do not know if I see it as something so negative that the luggage is not included "said Matías Mute, creator of the website Promos Aéreas, which follows the travel offers.

"Very cheap flights, such as $ 1 flights, have very little availability, which is often a trick," he added. Another tip to keep in mind is that promotional fares, in the case of low fares, are only valid for a few days a month. It is therefore difficult for the promotional price to coincide for both outbound and return traffic.

It's also important check prices before discounted events as they are often similar to previous weeks.

"We have been tracking in-flight prices for some time now, and for the Travel Travel sale we have not detected any significant changes, the most notable being only payments," says the Price History platform, which compares offers between different sites.

We must also look at other problems. the interest or surtax of any kind of financingbecause in all cases the fees are interest-free. In addition, if you find a very cheap flight, it is convenient to check to what extent the fees in these destinations (excursions, hotels or meals).

The event is organized by Faevyt (Argentine Federation of Travel and Tourism Business Associations). In the sales of September 2018 trips, more than a million visits were recorded on the official website and sales reached $ 292,274 million, 127% more than the 2017 edition.
