In the interview, Carvajal recalled that in 2012, the year of his retirement from the intelligence services, his team intercepted a cargo of 400 kilos of cocaine In a small plane that arrived at a ranch of the Venezuelan drug lord Walid Makled. After confiscating the drugs, the ex-soldier said he received an unusual call in which he had been informed that the army had determined that the cargo did not contain narcotics. Former intelligence chief El Aissami and Reverol were "directly responsible" for this type of situation and he badured that these politicians received bribes to ignore drug trafficking several times.

On the other hand, Carvajal denounced the fact that El Aissami had sought to join Hezbollah.
